Strengthening Health Research: 101 Health Research Conducts Workshop for Quezon Medical Center

On May 28, 2025, 101 Health Research conducted a comprehensive online workshop for the Quezon Medical Center in Lucena City, as part of the Quezon Provincial Hospital Network’s initiative to enhance research capabilities. Held via Zoom, the session aimed to equip healthcare professionals with essential skills in health research methodology.

The workshop covered four key topics: an Introduction to Health Research, Formulating the Research Question, Conducting a Systematic Literature Search, and Preparing the Introduction and Methods Sections for a Research Protocol. These modules are designed to provide a solid foundation for clinicians and researchers embarking on health research projects.

The workshop was led by Dr. Venus Oliva Cloma-Rosales, MD, MPH, ME, founder and managing director of 101 Health Research. A pediatrician by training, Dr. Cloma-Rosales brings over a decade of experience in clinical and public health research, biostatistics, and health data science. After earning her Master of Public Health from the National University of Singapore, she returned to the Philippines and established 101 Health Research in 2014. Under her leadership, the firm has become a trusted partner for national health institutions, contributing to initiatives such as a DOST-funded AI project for HERDIN, the Philippines’ health research library. Her expertise and dedication to building a trustworthy health research ecosystem have been instrumental in advancing evidence-informed decision-making for clinical practice and public health policy.

101 Health Research, established in 2014 by Dr. Cloma-Rosales, is a professional firm offering end-to-end support for health and clinical research. Their services include research methods consultation, protocol preparation, data analysis, and research education, all guided by core competencies in epidemiology.

This collaboration underscores the commitment of both Quezon Medical Center and 101 Health Research to advancing evidence-based healthcare practices through rigorous research and continuous professional development.
