Breaking Barriers in Leadership & Advancing Healthcare: Dr. Venus Oliva Cloma-Rosales Appointed as the First Female Chairperson of NUS Manila! 

We are thrilled to share that Dr. Venus Oliva Cloma-Rosales, an alumNUS of the Master of Public Health (MPH) program at the NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, has been appointed as the First Female Chairperson of the NUS Alumni Network Manila (NUS Manila).

And what better way to begin this journey than through service and impact?

On February 1, 2024, NUS Manila, through its NUS Cares initiative, donated essential medical equipment to Pediatric Wards 9 and 11 of the Philippine General Hospital (PGH). This initiative supports healthcare professionals in delivering critical pediatric care and aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3) – Good Health & Well-Being.

Key Equipment Donations:

  • Printers for patient care coordination
  • Suction Machines & Nebulizers for respiratory support 
  • Blood Pressure Apparatuses & Pediatric
  • Stethoscopes for accurate diagnoses
  • Oxygen Regulators & IV Poles for critical care management 

The turnover ceremony was attended by distinguished leaders from the University of the Philippines (UP) and PGH, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainable healthcare partnerships:
