About 101 Health Research®
Founded in 2014, 101 Health Research® is an independent health research consulting and analytics firm dedicated to producing trustworthy, ethical, and decision-relevant evidence for clinical care, public health, and health systems.
We serve hospitals, universities, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, government agencies, and international partners across the Philippines, Southeast Asia, and global markets.
Our work spans clinical research, epidemiology, biostatistics, medical data science, and research governance. Through rigorous methodology, collaborative engagement, and strong ethical standards, we design, conduct, and support research that strengthens decision-making at institutional, national, and regional levels.

Our Story
101 Health Research was established in 2014 after our founder, Dr. Venus Oliva Cloma-Rosales, recognized a recurring challenge during residency and early clinical practice: clinicians were expected to conduct research without consistent access to rigorous methodological and biostatistical support.
Outside of contract research organizations and traditional academic laboratories, dedicated support for everyday clinical and health systems research was limited. What began as an effort to address this gap evolved into a broader mission — strengthening research capacity for clinicians and institutions across diverse healthcare settings.
Over the past decade, including through the COVID-19 pandemic, our work has expanded across clinical research, evidence synthesis, health policy analysis, and health systems analytics. Today, 101 Health Research partners with hospitals, government agencies, medical societies, and international collaborators as a multidisciplinary research and analytics firm.
As health systems accelerate digital transformation, including advanced analytics and artificial intelligence, we continue to evolve our capabilities. We integrate AI thoughtfully — enhancing precision and efficiency while remaining grounded in rigorous methodology, strong governance, and ethical practice.
Our commitment remains constant: producing trustworthy, decision-relevant evidence for clinical care, public health, and policy.
A Note from
Our Founder
101 Health Research was founded on a simple conviction: that rigorous research is a shared responsibility, and that good science forms a fundamental backbone of a prosperous and resilient society.
More than a decade since our founding, healthcare operates in a world shaped by rapid technological change, growing climate and population health pressures, and expanding aspirations for universal health coverage. In this environment, the need for precise, ethical, and timely evidence has never been greater.
Artificial intelligence and advanced analytics hold significant promise — but only when anchored in strong methodology, sound governance, and human judgment. Over the years, I have seen how rigorous methods, ethical practice, and thoughtful collaboration can elevate not only individual studies, but entire research systems.
Our work is guided not by volume, but by integrity, ensuring that evidence is trustworthy, interpretable, and relevant for clinical care, public health, and policy decision-making. Our commitment aligns with broader efforts to improve population health and advance Sustainable Development Goal 3.
I remain personally involved in the scientific oversight of our projects, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to uphold the standards our partners entrust to us.
