UP Manila College of Medicine Students Visit 101 Health Research for Field Learning

On January 22, 2025, 101 Health Research hosted LU5 (third-year) medical students from the University of the Philippines (Manila) College of Medicine as part of their Management in Health Care curriculum. This initiative allowed students to gain real-world insights into management principles in the health sector.

The session, titled “How to Run a Research Unit? Practical Advice for Organizations in the Era of AI – Lessons from a Decade of Discovery,” featured discussions on the organization’s mission, lessons from their decade-long journey, and practical management strategies. The agenda covered three key topics: “101 Health Research: Who We Are and What We Do,” “Lessons and Recommendations from a Decade of Discovery,” and “Practical Advice on Running a Health Research Unit.”

Mr. Aian Rosales, MSc, 101 Health Research COO, delivered the opening remarks and shared insights on the role of data science in health research. The main session was led by Dr. Venus Cloma-Rosales, MD, MPH, ME, the founder and managing director of 101 Health Research. Drawing from her experiences, Dr. Cloma-Rosales shared reflections that resonated with the attendees.

The visit proved to be an enriching and enjoyable experience, fostering meaningful engagement and offering students a glimpse into effective health research management practices.
